Are you writing articles? Perhaps you're writing them for your own use: for a website or blog. Or perhaps you're creating them for clients. Either way, the tips in this article will help you to become an article writing machine.
Here's the most important tip I can give you: avoid stress. Easier said than done? Perhaps. I've been a writer for three decades, so I know how easy it is to burn out. Once you've lost motivation, it's hard to get it back -- and without motivation, you're missing out on the great income you might have earned.
These tips will help you to avoid stress, keep your commitments, and increase your income as time goes on.
1. Set up Templates, So You Eliminate Repetitive Tasks
Whenever you create a type of document more than once, or anticipate that you will, set up a template for it. You can include your keywords, and resource (bio) box in each template, so create one for each niche in which you're writing.
Templates are an immense time and energy saver, and time really is money.
2. Create an Article Marketing Campaign, So You Keep Your Focus
This applies for those times you're developing articles for your own use. Create a campaign for each product or service you're promoting. Your campaign data should include: the amount of content you intend creating, your goal, and your tracking information. (The easiest way to do this is with Google Analytics, it's free.)
3. Batch-Research: Research Once, and Write Many Articles
If your topic is unfamiliar to you, research will take more time than writing. Accept this. Quality takes time.
I use mind maps to research; you may find, as I do, that mind maps help you to both understand and recall information.
4. Batch-Write, So You Avoid the "Empty Page" Syndrome
Once you've created a campaign, try writing in batches.
My text editor has a navigation pane which lets me click through from one document to another quickly, so I create ten documents with titles.
Then I create a basic list outlines under the titles, and before long, all the articles are done.
Try these tips in your article writing -- they work.
