I admit it, I'm a punctuation tragic, so I agreed with this tweet:
Oxford cleared of serial comma killing | Books | guardian.co.uk: ""Are you people insane? The Oxford comma is what separates us from the animals," tweeted another punctuation obsessive, as the Twittersphere took off with collective punctuation woe." (Emphasis mine.)
I also admit that I often fail to use the serial comma... BUT I know it should be there.
So I'm relieved it's not dead. And I promise faithfully to use it in future, cross my heart.
Whew... killing off the serial comma? What next?
