I know several writers who've taken to the Kindle platform like the proverbial ducks to water. One writer friend turns out a new Kindle ebook every month, like clockwork. The last time we spoke, she had 11 ebooks selling -- and her income is rising month by month.

Amazon Serials: A New Way to Read the Classics

The Dickens serials are part of a new product from Amazon, appropriately named “Kindle Serials.” Readers will be able to purchase complete Serials for $1.99 upfront, and will receive new installments as they become available. The new format will enable authors to gather reader reactions as they write, and adapt future installments accordingly, just as Dickens did, Jeff Bezos said.

What a lovely idea: you can reread (or read for the first time) the classics in serial form.

What worked in the past can work for you, too. Some savvy authors are releasing their Kindle ebooks as serial novels; it's a great idea to gather readers as you write.
