How to get started writing fiction
In the early 1980s, I decided that I'd write and sell a novel. I gave myself until I was 40 to do it. If I didn't manage to do it in ten years, I promised myself I'd give up my dream of becoming a novelist. Amazingly, I managed to get a contract from British publisher Macdonald Futura for a series of romance novels in less than six months.Here's how I did it: I created a plan, and I worked the plan.
It was as simple, and as complicated as that.
I'm doing exactly the same thing today. I have a plan to write Kindle fiction, and I'm breezing along with my plan.
You can do this too. If you see the potential in fiction for YOU, then by all means go ahead and write.
