I'm completely in love with Markdown. It's changed my life. Over the years, I've lost so much material due to one proprietary format or another, that I will only use an app if I can save out the material to plain text.
Plain text will always be with us; I urge you, dear writer, make sure that you keep plain text versions of all your writing.
