It's that time of year again... Time to get into the spirit of the season (pun intended), by reading Dickens' immortal A Christmas Carol.
You can't resist the opening paragraph:
MARLEY was dead: to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. The register of his burial was signed by the clergyman, the clerk, the undertaker, and the chief mourner. Scrooge signed it: and Scrooge's name was good upon 'Change, for anything he chose to put his hand to. Old Marley was as dead as a door-nail.
Yes, it's time to reread A Christmas Carol. Gather a group of little ones (and older ones too), and read aloud.
It's a lovely tradition to start -- every family needs traditions.
