Here's what I love about writing ebooks: you write them once, and they keep on selling forever.

I know several writers who've taken to the Kindle platform like the proverbial ducks to water. One writer friend turns out a new Kindle ebook every month, like clockwork. The last time we spoke, she had 11 ebooks selling -- and her income is rising month by month.

Publishers Think Writers Are Idiots

A third way to put it: THIS IS A HORRIBLE AWFUL TERRIBLE APPALLING DISGUSTING CONTRACT WHICH IS BAD AND NO WRITER SHOULD SIGN IT EVER. Yes, I’m aware I’ve already said this. It bears repeating. It doesn’t matter whether it’s from Alibi, Hydra or anyone. Run away from it, as fast as you can, arms flailing like a Muppet’s. It’s the only rational response.

Please, do not EVER sign such a contract: "Alibi takes the exclusive right to print, publish, sell and license the contracted work, in every possible format, in whole or in part, in every language, in the entire world, for the full term of copyright."

Never give away all your rights.

I laughed when I read "in the entire world". I'm surprised they didn't include "and universe."

Why not?

Madness.
