I started my writing career as a romance novelist many years ago. I gave up writing fiction because in those days, you couldn’t make a real income. You depended on others to make decisions about everything. Only publishers and a handful of authors made money.
With Johnson’s “No man but a blockhead ever wrote, except for money” advice in mind, I went to where the money was, in copywriting, writing for magazines, and ghostwriting.
All these years later, thanks to Amazon… Fiction is BACK, and now writers CAN make money.
