Spend money on advertising? I hear you ask, as you clutch your wallet tightly. Who, me? Yes, you. If you're aiming to sell your creative work, and/ or your services, sooner or later you have to invest in yourself. This means spending money on advertising.
Treat advertising warily. Start out small, and when you see what works, increase the amount of advertising you do. You should do other promotional work as well, in addition to advertising. The amount and kinds of promotions will depend on what you want to sell, and on how much time you have. As creative people, we're in an odd position. We're creating the products we sell, so we need to spend time each day on creating work, and on selling it.
