It's almost time to make your New Year's Resolutions. But what if you wrote a Wish List instead, and renewed your wishes once a month? Your Wish List can include your wishes for your writing.
When we're children, we have wish lists many pages long. We wish for all kinds of things. Wishing makes our lives magical. Close your eyes for a moment, and let yourself drift back to when you were eight years old. What did you wish for then?
When we become young adults, we still have wishes, but our wishes are slowly tamed out of us, and our lives shrink.
It doesn't have to be like that. You can discover what you really want by writing wish lists. Your lists can be as serious, silly or outrageous as you wish. You may have no intention of following up on ANY of your wishes.
However, writing wish lists will change you. Your horizons will expand. Try the process.
