In "A writing technique a week" I wrote about my new scheme to motivate myself for writing. Last week I chose brainstorming.
This week's technique is clustering.
Clustering is fun to use. I mainly use it to map out all aspects of a project. For example, if I've been commissioned to write a Web sales page, I'll cluster all the information I need to cover, as well as words/ ideas for headlines and bullet points.
Since I use clustering every day anyway, this "clustering week" I'm going to explore clustering in new (new to me, anyway) ways. What ways? I've got no idea. That's the major fun of this writing-technique-a-week plan. You get inspired when you force yourself to discover new ways to do things.
