I hope you're building up enthusiasm for your novel-writing marathon, which is only around three weeks away.
Are you writing a character journal?
It's important to write something in the character journal every day. You're writing from the point of view of the character, so it helps you to get to know the character and his conflicts.
You'll find that as you write, you're generating new characters painlessly, and are starting to develop the "world" of your novel.
Now it's time to interview your character. A character interview is just what it sounds like. It's a question and answer session with a character. It's a good idea to interview all your primary characters before you start your novel.
Your interview can be as long, or as short as you like.
