There’s the actual editor part, where I write the actual scenes. That’s pretty standard in itself. It’s the part that will look most familiar to everyone else, since it’s what looks most like Word. But then there’s the corkboard, which — I promise, I am not exaggerating — is the greatest invention ever. Ok, maybe I’m exaggerating a little. But not by much. Seriously, before I discovered this nifty little feature, I had an actual corkboard.
I've been using Scrivener since its beta version, and after all these years, I expect everyone to be using it.
When a writer tells me he's not using Scrivener, my eyes widen, and I ask (because I really want to know): "Why not?'
Although it has a learning curve, once you've tried Scrivener, you'll soon be like all Scrivener devotees: pathetically grateful it exists.
An iPad version is in the works, I believe. (I use Index Card on the iPad in the meantime.)
